On December 14th, a robbery occurred at the Bellagio in Las Vegas that resulted in approximately $1.5 million in chips being stolen from the casino. Most of these chips were in $25,000 denominations. The culprit was caught on Wednesday when 29-year-old Anthony Carleo was arrested and charged.

The Premier League marathon makes a small break this weekend and it is replaced by the F.A cup games. In total 16 very interesting games are scheduled for Saturday January 29th and for Sunday January 30th . The action is high as each tie is played as a single leg. If a match ended as draw a single replay will be played at the ground of the team which was away to the first fixture. If there is another draw then extra time and eventually penalties will be played. We should note that there is not any away goals advantage. The most important games are the Everton Vs Chelsea, the Fulham Vs Tottenham fixtures, the Aston Villa Vs Blackburn, the Bolton Vs Wigan and the Wolves Vs Stoke.
The second episode of the wildly popular online animated poker show “The Micros” is finally out. Check it out below:
Two things I noticed during the episode:
1. Phil Hellmuth gets a prominent mention. Is this foreshadowing of him signing a deal with the site?
2. These guy love melodrama. At one point, I didn’t know if the bathroom scene was paying tribute to Moby Dick or to Star Trek 2 – The Wrath of Khan.
Overall, I thought this episode was a bit “meh.” I thought the Christmas short was a lot better. Hopefully they rebound by episode three.
Doyle Brunson revealed in his blog Tuesday that he is considering leaving Las Vegas due to the lack of high limit action. He stated that Vegas is not a very desirable place for a poker pro anymore.
