One of the biggest poker stories breaking over the past few days is how Spiderman star Tobey Maguire was named in a high stakes poker lawsuit involving hedge fund manager Brad Ruderman. The crooked manager stole millions of dollars from investors, and he lost over $5 million in poker games around the Los Angeles area. Apparently, Maguire won over $310k from Ruderman in these games, and the defrauded investors are seeking money from both him and the other players.

A big side story to the lawsuit is that Maguire reportedly won between $30 and $40 million over a three-year period in these games. The celebrity gossip website RadarOnline.com wrote the following regarding what Star Magazine reported on the massive winnings:

Maguire won as much as $1 million a month over a period of three years, one source told Star, which is on newsstands Wednesday.

That means he could have made up to $30 to $40 million from these games, the whistle-blowing card shark predicted.

The whistle-blowing card shark mentioned in this article is former Victory Poker pro Dan Bilzerian. He also had plenty to say about Maguire as he blasted the A-list actor when speaking to RadarOnline. The poetic poker pro said, He’s cheap as f**k and plays like a cheap b*tcha guy who’s worth all that money playing as if he’s broke. Come on, dude.

Going back to Maguire and his winnings, if the story about him earning $30-$40 million is true, he would no doubt be one of the biggest winners (if not the biggest) of all-time. Obviously Maguire isnt one of the greatest players of all-time, so the ridiculous sum of money he supposedly won is probably more a product of a good player butting heads with some terrible high stakes fish.
