Huge Staff Walkout at William Hill Call Centre as employees strike – A mass walkout of over 200 staff members from William Hill’s Tel Aviv online support centre has been reported by the Sun newspaper and confirmed to Doolallys by William Hill Casino.
The Israeli-based staff’s walkout from the centre that handles most of William Hill’s Internet marketing follows the resignation of William Hill’s chief marketing officer, Eyal Sanoff and in protest over rumors that William Hill intends relocating the call centre to Gibraltar.
The UK gambling group stated that senior William Hill Online management are currently in Tel Aviv attempting to sort out the issues but that due to a week long holiday, the results may not be felt immediately. The group added that a few other senior managers in Tel Aviv are also subject to disciplinary actions regarding this week’s disruption within the marketing business in Tel Aviv.
William Hill Online has, however, confirmed that the situation is not affecting the availability of any consumer facing websites with the Group directly.
