The United States Senate Committee on Indian Affairs has scheduled an oversight hearing on the USA Department of Justices (DOJ) opinion on internet gaming that will reportedly include discussions on “Whats at Stake for Tribes”.The hearing follows an about turn in the DOJs stance on online gambling late last year, when it released an opinion that The Wire Act applies only to online sports betting (see previous report), opening the gates to interest in other forms of online gambling by industry stake holders. The hearing is scheduled to take place on Thursday, February 9, 2012.
